Kidokinetics Greater Milwaukee Area is excited to partner with The Big Backyard in New Berlin to offer PE classes this fall for kiddos in K3-Grade 2. Classes are open to the public, and perfect for homeschool families or other families looking to add more focused activities to their day. Kidokinetics SportsPlay PE classes focus on foundational skills in a non-competitive environment. We provide the coaches and the equipment; your kiddos come ready to play!
Each 45 min class will be led by a Kido-certified coach. Kiddos will start with a warmup that incorporates both stretching and cardio, plus learn about a bone and/or muscle that is essential to the day's sport.
Every class introduces kids to the fundamental skills of a new sport, and kiddos will complete challenges individually and sometimes by collaborating as a team. Kidokinetics offers over 20 sports & activities. We have traditional ball sports and racquet sports, as well as stick sports (lacrosse, hockey, etc.) and other sports like frisbee or track & field. Equipment is provided so that every kiddo plays the entire time!
Additionally, every class incorporates numerous fitness components like cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, balance, agility, etc. We end every class with a cool-down, incorporating stretches that bring our muscles back to a resting state, taking time to review what was learned that day.
The $120 program fee includes six 45-min. coach-led classes, plus six play passes to The Big Backyard. Adults are not required to participate in the SportsPlay classes, but they must remain in the facility. Any siblings who wish to take advantage of open play during SportsPlay class will need a play pass. There is no charge for infants or adults. The Big Backyard is a socks-only facility for kiddos and adults!
