Hi, We’re John Sommerfield and Diane Shapiro, the proud owners of Kidokinetics San Francisco.

In 2024, we chose to bring Kidokinetics to San Francisco because we believe every child deserves the chance to move, play, and build confidence in a fun, non-competitive environment. We were drawn to the program’s focus on helping kids fall in love with an active lifestyle and helping families understand the importance of motor skills in whole child development. With our own passion for staying active and supporting families in our community, we knew this was the perfect way to give back and make a positive impact close to home.

About Our Family

Favorite Kidokinetics sport/activity: Floor Hockey

Favorite local business: SF Giants! (Seriously...awesome community outreach and awesome team)

Favorite family activity: Music (except for Diane we’re all musicians)

Fun fact about us: Diane taught visual design at the HS level, John has coached SF Little League for 8 years
